Do Not Worry^(A)

²⁵“Therefore I say to you, ^(B)do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? ^26(C)Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? ²⁷Which of you by worrying can add one ^[a]cubit to his ^[b]stature?

²⁸“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; ²⁹and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not ^[c]arrayed like one of these. ³⁰Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

³¹“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ ³²For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. ³³But ^(D)seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

²⁵Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

²⁶Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

²⁷Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Appreciation of the Mystery

¹⁴For this reason I bow my knees to the ^(A)Father ^[a]of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, ¹⁶that He would grant you, ^(B)according to the riches of His glory, ^(C)to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in ^(D)the inner man, ^17(E)that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, ^(F)being rooted and grounded in love, ^18(G)may be able to comprehend with all the saints ^(H)what is the width and length and depth and height— ¹⁹to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled ^(I)with all the fullness of God.

²⁰Now ^(J)to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly ^(K)above all that we ask or think, ^(L)according to the power that works in us, ^21(M)to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
