These cookies take the delicious classic soft peanut butter cookie and twirl them into one marbled chocolate peanut butter cookie. So sweet and delicious and they only take a little while to make. They are rolled in sugar to give the outside a sparkle and they have the perfect thick and chewy bite.
Baking around Christmas time is my absolute favorite. Something about the coziness of baking and cuddling up with your christmas pjs to watch a christmas movie is just so fun to me. Like my IDEAL night. Christmas is such a special time to make memories and it’s a perfect opportunity to make things so meaningful. Baking is one of my favorite things ever because it does just that. It brings people together. It makes people smile.
All the ingredients you’ll need to make these cookies listed below are so simple and easy to find. Whether that is at your local grocery store or already in your pantry, there is nothing crazy about this list. I like sharing the list of what you need so when you’re shopping, it’s easy to keep track of all you need to make these cookies.
What You’ll Need:
- butter
- peanut butter
- brown sugar
- sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- flour
- cornstarch
- baking soda
- salt
- cocoa powder
- milk
- parchment paper
These cookies actually only require to make ONE DOUGH!! Crazy right?!? Because these cookies are marbled!! First you make the Peanut butter cookies dough and then split it in two and add cocoa and milk to one half. So it’s one dough to make and then with a little bit of baking magic, you have marbled cookies!!
If you want to level up these cookies, EVEN MORE, you could add chocolate chip, peanut butter chips, or you could even top them with a Hersheys kiss to make them a blossom cookie or a mini Reese’s cup. That’s what I want to do next time I make them. SO GOOD.

Prep Time 30 minutes mins
Cook Time 30 minutes mins
Total Time 1 hour hr
Servings 30 cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 + 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
Pre-heat your oven to 350℉ and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl add your peanut butter and softened butter and cream together.
Add your brown sugar, 1/2 cup of sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.
Add your eggs and vanilla and mix again.
Once, everything is well combined, add your dry ingredients. Flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt. Stir until just combined.
Split your cookie dough in half and add your cocoa powder and milk to half of it. Fold until combined.
Scoop out your peanut butter cookie dough and chocolate peanut butter cookie dough and marble it together. I usually scoop out a little of each, put them together than break in half and roll back together.
Roll cookie dough into 1-2 inch balls and roll in the additional 1/2 cup of sugar.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper a couple inches apart and bake at 350℉ for 8-10 minutes.
Remove from oven, tap your pan down to create the creases. Let cool, share and enjoy!!
Notes
You can make these as just peanut butter cookies by leaving out the cocoa powder and milk and they are so good.
Can you chill the dough. Yes chilling the ough actually makes these cookies BETTER. You can chill them in the freezer for 30 minutes to 1 hour before baking or you can store the cookie dough in the fridge for up to one week and the freezer for 1 month.
