Last 2 weeks has been too hectic for me as i decided to bring a bit change into my working environment by choosing Work From Office. After working 4-5 months in office in my previous job, pandemic came and I started working from home. It continued even when i switched my profile fromB2C to B2B. The perks i was seeing was only of WFH till date as that was the most experienced. But but but WFO has its own perks too. Ik maybe Genz me or others would love WFH but having a balance of both is so so greatWhen i started working from office in this past 2 weeks i see a lot of change in my working patterns and behaviours.1.My learning curve improves as i get to work alongside with my manager or with my team and not virtually.2.WFH means its only me working on my working hours but in WFO you interact with people, build relationship, understand the work of people not in your team or background as well. This gives some fresh perspectives.3.Sometimes by being virtual we miss certain candid conversations. Those little conversations can be a great learning.4.Being in sales you can experience the real pressure of targets, as with WFH its just limited to 1 meeting. The environment matters. Also i feel hybrid is the best way as somedays you get to experience WFH too. I cannot forget the chai breaks and gossips. Also love seeing my team daily rather then virtually:)PS :- Thoughts are totally subjective.#sales # #work #workfromoffice #wfo #experience #b2b #learning # #team # #environment #update #etmedialabs

The environment and overall vibe matter a lot. With work from the office, the speed of execution improves a lot too. For small things you can just quickly ask but in WFH environment even a small questions becomes a meeting in calendar.

A Hot Take on " Work from Home" Enthusiasts Just to begin with i do agree that it has so many upsides be it saving money on rent ,commute ,other miscellaneous expenses and yes you do get the much under appreciated time with your family but the below points does make you think otherwise.📈 .WFH is viable and feasible for the companies which are well established and have a strong foundation while companies which are in their initial stage need their employees to be present so they can soak up the zeal and vision and can witness the initially defining moments of a budding company which can't be achieved remotely.📈 All the juniors and the people who are just assigned a role will suffer due to the lack of social support because reaching out to someone over a zoom/ teams is not at all natural in needy times and these people will take a lot more time to excel and learn the basics of things which might be vital to their role on the flip side I do agree that office environment does come muddled with politics and toxicity in almost 99% cases ,but the ease of going over to someone to seek guidance/ assistance/ help is unparalleled and can never be achieved in WFH setup ,the authentic growth it transpires. I have learned a great deal of things from my colleagues be it behaviours ,be it leadership traits ,be it presentation of data and much more and I think all the people reading this would relate ,we have learned are best corporate lessons while shadowing/ observing someone which could have never been the case in WFH.And to end this i would push for a hybrid style of working wherein you can minimise the cons while reaping the pros.P.s - Would love to hear feedback on the above post.#This is what I think #WFO is ain't all that bad #Hope you liked it

Hey everyone, As someone who's been working in the corporate world for a few years now, I've noticed that the debate between WFH and WFO is still ongoing in 2023. While there are pros and cons to both, I wanted to share why I personally prefer WFH.First and foremost, let's talk about money. While the CTC offered for WFH jobs may seem good, it may not be enough to cover the expenses of going into an office every day. Plus, with WFH, you can save on transportation costs and other expenses. For me, my home is my comfort zone, and I find that when I have a good network connection and the necessary resources to do my job, I am able to be more productive. Plus, I can use my free time to upskill myself and invest my energy in other areas that interest me.Another factor for me is family. As I grow in my career, I realize how important it is to have a support system, especially as our parents age. Being able to work from home and spend time with my family is priceless to me.Plus, WFH allows me to manage my finances better. As someone who's still learning how to manage money effectively, being able to work from home gives me the flexibility to work on my finances without worrying about additional expenses.Lastly, globalization has made it possible for everyone to have the same opportunities and skills. It's up to us to take advantage of them, and WFH allows us to do just that.Of course, everyone's definition of a fulfilling professional life is different, and that's okay. There's no right or wrong answer when it comes to WFH or WFO. Personally, I'm lucky to have access to office spaces like Gather that offer great amenities and vibes. But ultimately, as long as we feel content and fulfilled in our professional lives, that's all that matters. What about you? Do you prefer WFH or WFO, and why? Let's chat in the comments below! #work #career #career #wfhjobs #letsconnectforpositivity #content #opportunities #job

The amount of immediate coworkers and extended that have had and do have Covid within the last 4 weeks (there has been a significant push to RTO at least a day a week) is a PERFECT example of WHY WFH positions should stay, just that, WFH. Those of us that are fortunate enough to have roles that are able to be completed from home not only help keep us healthier but also those that do not have the ability due to the role (retail, service, emergency, etc) to WFH.

My friends say I'm "Work from home" expert😂 I started my “Work from home" journey in 2010 (yes more than a decade 😊)There are times I have worked for more than 18hrs out of 24 hrs to deliver a critical client project. It’s not the number of hours, it’s the quality work that matters (I know! but at times you got to do what you got to do)I quit my previous job bcoz I was done with WFH, and wanted a WFO where I get to meet people and collaborate, learn etc “Work from home” has taught me many things. -To set a daily routine -To NOT to get into comfort zone -To focus on getting results -To help others without judging-To take calculated breaks-To enjoy virtual meetings and communicate efficiently. And the list goes on and on…..I don’t recommend WFH if you're constantly distracted by your pets or young kids at home (Luckily, I have no such distractions) Are you a WFH or WFO person? Getting up early in the morning, going to the office, working from 9 to 5, coming back home and then doing whatever I wished like used to be my routine when I started my career. Then COVID hits the world. WFO took a 180 degree turn to WFH. In the beginning I found this transition really tough. I had so many meetings to attend, presentations to submit, deadlines to meet but all I could see was piled up laundry, meals to cook, house to clean, dishes to wash. I was working for like 12-14 hours in a day, still had lots of things pending. With time, I realized that WFH offered flexibility, eliminated commute, allowed multitasking while attending painfully long meetings but at times, I also felt isolated, struggled to set boundaries and I missed the in-person collaboration and the daily routine.By the time I got accustomed to this new normal, WFO started. Now, I found it tough to start all over again. Getting up early was the biggest task. Although WFO fosters teamwork, creativity, and a structured routine, long commutes and rigid schedules are way too draining. I personally feel that a Hybrid Model strikes a balance between the two. It combines the best of both worlds, granting employees flexibility, while still promoting in-person collaboration. Yes of course, it requires careful planning and technology integration.I understand it’s not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution. The right choice would depend on the nature of work, individual preferences and the organisation’s goal as well. What has been your experience with WFH, WFO and Hybrid model? Share your thoughts#wfh #wfo #hybridwork

Four years ago, like many, I transitioned to remote work - a change I embraced wholeheartedly. The thought of returning to an office seemed unthinkable, a relic of my past career life. Yet, to my surprise, the novelty of working remotely wore off quicker than anticipated. The convenience was undeniable, but I found myself missing the vibrant energy and collaborative spirit of an in-office setting. Embracing this realization, I now find myself back in the office, happily rediscovering that symbiosis I once took for granted. My team and I now synchronize our schedules to ensure we are in the office together twice a week. This change has brought an added richness to my work life. There's an irreplaceable value in being able to spontaneously share ideas and tackle questions face-to-face, not to mention the unexpected conversations with colleagues from different departments, sparking fresh ideas and fostering connections I didn’t know I was missing.A recent experience highlighted my newfound appreciation. On one of my office days, I opted for a different route on my walk to the office. Just two blocks from my building, I encountered a silver sculpture, on it written “the most innovative square mile on the planet.” This moment resonated with me on two levels. It reminded me of the power of small changes and reinforced the importance of stepping out of routine to gain a fresh perspective - a simple route change offered me a new lens on my familiar environment. But more importantly, it filled me with pride and gratitude. Being part of Cambridge Mobile Telematics, where I’m surrounded by brilliant minds and groundbreaking ideas, is not just a job; it’s a privilege to be at the forefront of shaping the future.Speaking of the future, CMT is thrilled to open our doors to new team members this year. Working from Home (“WFH”) – A term that gained a lot of popularity at the height of COVID-19 and re-enforced that, with technology for certain jobs, we can work from anywhere if you have an internet connection and a laptop. This different way of working has resulted in many opinions both For and Against WFH.My perspective is one that has evolved and continues to change day by day. Moving to a new country in 2020, work was the only thing that distracted me from everything else that was going on. Therefore, at that time Working from Home was a Pro. As things started opening up again, I found myself yearning to separate Home (a place where family, friends and hobbies take priority) and Work (Where timelines, deliverables and career advancement is key). While I am still trying to figure it out – I find having the option to work from home a good one! Especially if I have personal commitments or circ*mstances that make it a challenge to be at the office. However, I am now intentional about being in the office as it allows me to foster new and nurture existing relationships, helps me coach and mentor my team better (especially with newer team members that get intimidated by titles, but when they actually see and talk to their executives, they realize the person is actually approachable and asking the “not so smart question” in their mind a lot easier). What is your view of Working From Home (Working away from the Office) and do you see yourself leaning on one side vs the other and why?#wfh #returntooffice #workingremotely #flexibility
