Position SummaryProfessional Development Specialist (Nursing) inspires professional nurses through human connections, innovation and experiential learning, utilizing evidence-based practice with the goal of advancing the mission of ECU Health.
Responsibilities
Serve as Nurse Planner for continuing nursing education.
Lead experiential learning activities through innovative teaching and learning methods.
Develop, implement and evaluate teaching and learning experiences to continuously improve quality, experience, and finance outcomes.
Establish effective communication networks with unit and organization leadership.
Disseminate research findings through educational programs and other activities (internal and external).
Facilitate orientation processes, nurse residency program, and role transitions
Evaluates the effectiveness of collaborative endeavors to continuously improve quality, experience, and finance outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
MSN in Nursing Education or MSN with Postmasters Certificate in Education is required- or higher.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina. Professional
Required to obtain Nursing Professional Development Certification within 3 years.
3 years to 5 years in clinical practice with evidence of clinical knowledge, leadership, and teaching.
